Trick or Trot 5K - WakeMed Soccer Park, Cary, NC
The Triangle Trick or Trot 5K is a Halloween and dia de los muertos themed 5K held at WakeMed Soccer Park (101 Soccer Park Dr, Cary, NC 27511). Participants are invited to run in costume and each runner receives a personal bag of Halloween candy after the run.
Entry includes a long-sleeve race shirt; the listing references a 2025 design and notes this year's design and color are pending. To receive a shirt, registrants must register by October 15 or until sizes sell out. Live results are posted online.
Registration fees for the in-person 5K vary by age and registration date:
- Age 18 and older: until Sept 30 $33, Oct 1-21 $37, Oct 22-25 $40.
- Age 17 and under: until Sept 30 $24, Oct 1-21 $27, Oct 22-25 $29.
Awards for the 5K include top three overall male and female finishers, and top male and female in these age groups: 15 and under; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 and over.
The course uses the standard WakeMed Soccer Park 5K cross country layout. The route is entirely off road, combining open field sections and paths through the woods. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
