Hidden Valley Hammer
Hidden Valley Hammer is a trail running event in Reno, NV on November 7, 2026. The venue is listed at 4740 Parkway Drive and the event offers two distances.
- 10K
- 5K
The 10K course is steep, slippery, rocky, and exposed. It climbs roughly 1,700 feet in the first 4.5 miles, reaches a high-point with expansive views, then descends back to the start and finish. There are trail sections where participants will need to hike rather than run. Trekking poles are not discouraged and carrying drinking water is recommended. One aid station is located near the top and will provide water and encouragement only.
The 5K follows a much less technical loop around the park. It still uses single-track trail and offers scenic views.
All event proceeds are given to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. The day includes an after-party with food, drinks, and live music at The 395 Craft Beer and Spirits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
