Hickory Flatout 5K
The Hickory Flatout 5K is an annual road race held around Labor Day that raises funds for Hide and Seek Day Camp through race proceeds. The event starts and finishes at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4096 East Cherokee Drive, Canton, GA 30115. The 5K is a chip timed road race on a USATF certified course that runs out and back from the church; the course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills.
A separate kid's Fun Run on race day features an obstacle-filled course designed for children. The event offers a Phantom Runner option for supporters who register but do not run; Phantom Runners receive a race day tee.
Early bib pick-up is scheduled for Sunday, September 5, 2027, at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church parking lot behind the church. Award categories for the 5K include overall male and female, grandmasters male and female, and age-group awards for the top three male and female finishers across standard age brackets from 10 and under through 80 and over.
