Hickory Flatout 5K
The Hickory Flatout 5K is an annual race held on September 7, 2026 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4096 East Cherokee Drive, Canton, GA. Race proceeds support Hide and Seek Day Camp. The event includes a chip-timed 5K road race and related activities for participants and supporters.
The 5K course is an out-and-back route that starts and finishes at the church. The course is described as mostly flat with a few rolling hills and is USATF certified (certificate GA13083WC). A separate kid's Fun Run features obstacles inspired by the Hide and Seek Day Camp program.
The event program offers wheelchair assist and wheelchair rider options, and a Phantom Runner category for people not running in person; Phantom Runners receive a race day tee. Early bib pick-up is available the day before at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the parking lot behind the church.
Awards are presented for overall male and female, grandmasters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in standard age divisions from youth through 70 and over.
