Hickory Flatout 5K
The Hickory Flatout 5K is an annual race held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Canton, GA that raises funds for Hide and Seek Day Camp. The event features a chip timed 5K that starts and finishes at the church on an out-and-back course. The course is described as mostly flat with a few rolling hills and the 5K is USATF certified.
A kid's Fun Run includes a short course with obstacle elements aligned with the camp's activities. Wheelchair assist and wheelchair rider entries are offered as separate options. Phantom Runner registration is available for people who wish to support the event without running.
Awards are given for overall male and female, grandmasters male and female, and the top three finishers in multiple age groups from 10 and under through 70 and over. Early bib pick-up is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church parking lot behind the church.
