Hickory Flatout 5K
The Hickory Flatout 5K is an annual community road race held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4096 East Cherokee Drive, Canton, Georgia. Proceeds support Hide and Seek Day Camp. The main event is a chip timed 5K on a USATF certified course that runs out and back from the church; the course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills.
The event program includes a kids fun run with obstacles, a wheelchair assist option for those pushing a chair, and a wheelchair rider category for participants riding in a chair. A Phantom Runner registration option is available for supporters who will not run on race day. Early bib pick up is offered at the church parking lot behind the building on the day before the event.
Awards are presented in overall and age group categories, including grandmasters and top finishers by age brackets. The event lists Corrective Chiropractic among its sponsors and names Hide and Seek Day Camp as the organization benefiting from race proceeds. Entry fees and registration categories vary by category and date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
