The 5K is a road race on a USATF certified course. The course is described as mostly flat with a few rolling hills and follows an out-and-back route from the church. A separate kid's course includes obstacle elements. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers, grandmasters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups (10 and under through 70 and over).
