Hickory Flatout 5K
The Hickory Flatout 5K is an annual race held on Labor Day in Canton, Georgia. Proceeds from the event support Hide and Seek Day Camp. The event starts and finishes at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4096 East Cherokee Drive, Canton, GA.
The 5K is a chip timed road race run on a USATF certified course. The course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills and follows an out and back route from the church. A separate kids fun run includes obstacle elements inspired by the summer day camp program.
Event entry options include the chip timed 5K, a kids fun run, and a Phantom Runner registration for those who wish to support the event without running. Early bib pick up is available the day before the race at the church parking lot behind the building. Race day in person bib pick up and registration are offered at the venue.
Awards are given for overall male and female, grandmasters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups including 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, and successive five year brackets up to 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
