Event overview
The Hickory Flatout 5K is an annual road race held on Labor Day in Canton, Georgia. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Monday, September 7, 2026, with the start and finish at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4096 East Cherokee Drive. Proceeds from the event support Hide and Seek Day Camp. The 5K course is USATF certified, is mostly flat with a few rolling hills, and follows an out-and-back route from the church.

Award categories include overall male and female, grandmasters male and female, and top three male and female in these age groups: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 and over.
