Hickory Flatout 5K
The Hickory Flatout 5K is an annual chip-timed road race held in Canton, Georgia that raises funds for Hide and Seek Day Camp. The event starts and finishes at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4096 East Cherokee Drive, and the course is an out-and-back route that is mostly flat with a few rolling hills. The 5K course is USATF certified (certificate ID GA13083WC).
A separate kid's Fun Run features obstacle elements designed for children. The event structure includes wheelchair assist and wheelchair rider options, plus a Phantom Runner category for those who register without running but still receive the event shirt.
Awards are presented for overall male and female winners, grandmasters, and top three finishers by multiple age groups ranging from 10 and under through 70 and over. Early bib pick-up is offered the day before at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the parking lot behind the church. Sponsors and a local organization supporting the event are listed as part of the race presentation.
