Herefordshire Sprint Triathlon 2026
The Herefordshire Sprint Triathlon takes place at Leominster Leisure Centre on 07 June 2026. The event has been organised by Hereford Triathlon Club for three decades and won West Midlands Small Event of the Year in 2022. It is presented as a super sprint race aimed at first time triathletes and beginners; athletes must be at least 18 years old unless otherwise agreed.
The race is run under the guidance of British Triathlon and with permissions from local authorities and venues. Starts are organised in waves of six swimmers with staggered times; the start order is based on estimated swim speed and the published start list appears in the week before the event. Marshals will oversee the route, the course is waymarked and chip timing is used.
Distances:
- Swim: 400 metres in an indoor pool.
- Bike: 11 to 12 miles on an undulating A44 route towards Bromyard.
- Run: 5 km around Leominster, finishing at the school.
The event is organised by club members and surplus funds support the club. Total places are 100. Entries close on 30 May 2026 and there are no entries on the day. Refund and transfer rules apply: refunds may be limited in pandemic or extreme weather situations, personal race insurance is recommended, and transfers can be arranged by contacting the organiser before 30 May 2026.
