Participants can choose between in-person distances or a virtual race option that can be completed throughout the month of April.

The event takes place at Pier 9 and offers several distances for runners and walkers:

- 5 km (chip-timed run or walk)
- 1 km (not chip-timed)

Race Services and Features
The event functions as a fundraiser for the Army Cadet League in support of the RHLI Cadets and collects non-perishable food items for Hamilton Food Share. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the 5 km and 10 km events.
Participants have the opportunity to pre-register for 30-minute guided tours of the HMCS Haida ship on race day. Race kit pickup is available on the Friday and Saturday before the event at locations in Burlington and Stoney Creek, as well as on-site on Sunday morning.
