Her Majesty's Royal Races 2027 : event description
Her Majesty's Royal Races takes place at HMCS Haida National Historic Site, Pier 9, 658 Catharine St N, Hamilton, Ontario on April 18, 2027. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation across several distances.
Offered distances include:
- 1K with finisher medal
- 3KM
- 5K chip timed
- 10K chip timed
For 5K and 10K participants there is a choice of a themed item such as a fascinator, top hat, or a corgi plush. The first 150 registrants may also select a purse. Finisher medals come in multiple colour options, with a new Burgundy option for 2027. Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in the 5K and 10K events. The 1K event is not chip timed.
The event raises funds for the Army Cadet League in support of the RHLI Cadets - 62 RHLI RCACC and will collect non-perishable food for Hamilton Food Share. A 30-minute guided tour of HMCS Haida is available to participants by pre-registration; access to the ship’s bridge is via ladders and may not be suitable for all visitors.
Virtual participants can complete their chosen distance between April 1 and April 30, 2027. Virtual results can be tracked and submitted via the ASICS Runkeeper app or the event results page. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
