Her Majesty's Royal Races 2027 : Hamilton, ON
The event takes place on April 18, 2027 at the HMCS Haida National Historic Site in Hamilton, Ontario. It offers in-person and virtual race options and raises funds for the Army Cadet League in support of the RHLI Cadets. Non-perishable food items will also be collected for Hamilton Food Share.
Distances:
- 1K in person
- 3K in person
- 5K in person and virtual
- 10K in person and virtual
The 5K and 10K are chipped timed and trophies will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each of those distances. Finishers receive a medal; 5K and 10K participants can choose a fascinator, a top hat, or a corgi dog item. The first 150 people may choose a purse as an option. Virtual participants receive a finisher medal and similar kit options; shipping of virtual kits is extra. The virtual race window is April 1 to April 30, 2027, and virtual results can be submitted through the event platform or by connecting with the Runkeeper app.
Race kit pickup is handled through local partners and on-site options. Due to local construction, parking may be limited and parking is permitted at several nearby lots including Pier 4, Royal Hamilton Yacht Club, and Pier 8. Tours of HMCS Haida are available for a small number of participants; access to the ship's bridge requires ladder use and may not be accessible for all guests. If the in-person event cannot proceed, it will be converted to a virtual event without refunds; race kits will still be distributed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
