Hells Hills Trail Race : Rocky Hill Ranch, Smithville, TX
Hells Hills Trail Race is a multi-distance trail event held on April 3, 2027 at Rocky Hill Ranch near Smithville, Texas. The event offers a mix of single-track trails, bridges, stream crossings, pine stands, and fields of wildflowers. The terrain features many short, steep hills and rolling sections rather than long sustained climbs.

The course is heavily marked with caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers, and markings include reflectors for night navigation. Aid coverage includes two full aid stations plus the start/finish Saloon, a self-support station, and a temporary aid point serving the 10K; supplies appear every 2.8 to 4.5 miles. The event is cupless; runners must carry a cup or bottle for fluids. Chip timing is used and timing chips are worn on the ankle.
The Ruck division requires a weighted pack with specific weight rules, mandatory weigh-ins, and restrictions on weight placement and gear. The venue supports onsite camping.
