Course and logistics

The race uses Bastrop State Park trails on dirt and rocky single-track surfaces. The course repeats a 20K loop with about 800 feet of elevation per loop. The 20K ruck requires a minimum ruck weight of 25 lb. Pacers are allowed on the final two loops of the 100K, with no more than one pacer per participant. Park day pass confirmation is required at packet pickup. Parking and shuttle arrangements differ by distance: shorter distances park at Mayfest Park and are shuttled to the start; the 100K parks at the Refectory in the state park.

Awards, gear, and on-course support

Finishers receive event apparel and distance-specific items such as finisher medals, a 60K mini-buckle, and a 100K finisher buckle. Additional awards include first-place prizes by gender and other designated items. Aid stations provide food and hydration along a fully marked and supported course. The event does not provide disposable cups; participants must bring their own water-carrying system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
