Cowboy YETI - Bastrop State Park
The Cowboy YETI is a trail running event at Bastrop State Park in Bastrop, Texas. The event offers the following distances:
- 100K
- 60K
- 40K
- 20K
- 20K RUCK
- 7K
The course uses dirt and rocky single-track trails on all Bastrop State Park trails. The standard loop is 20K and each 20K loop includes about 800 feet of elevation gain. The event base is the Refectory at Bastrop State Park (100 Park Road 1A, Bastrop, TX 78602). The 20K RUCK requires a minimum ruck weight of 25 lb.
Logistics, services and series information
Parking and shuttles are arranged: most distances park at Mayfest Park and are shuttled to the start, while the 100K uses parking at the Refectory. Pacers are permitted on the last two loops of the 100K, with no more than one pacer per participant. Cutoffs are listed for longer races, including a 10-hour cutoff for the 60K and a 20-hour cutoff for the 100K. Aid stations provide food and hydration; the course is fully marked and supported and photography is provided. Race gear and awards include a longsleeve shirt, finisher medals for several distances, a 60K mini-buckle, and a 100K finisher buckle. The event is part of the Texas Legends Series, where completing two of three races earns a Legends Finisher designation and three of three earns an Ultimate Legends designation with collectible medals and series awards.
