About the race
The Lost Pines Endurance Fest is a multi distance trail event held at Lake Bastrop North Shore and South Shore Parks in Bastrop, Texas, on January 16 to 18, 2027. The event runs on the North South Trailway as an out and back course that links the park shores and passes through loblolly pine forest, lake overlooks, creek crossings, and several wooden bridges. Trail surfaces include packed dirt, sand, rock, and pine needles, with gentle rolling elevation changes. The course is marked and maintained.
After dark, headlamps are required. The weekend offers aid station support and an awards ceremony on the second day. Event formats include single run distances, timed endurance, lap format ultras, and ruck divisions. The 200K is a lap format of eight 14 mile laps plus a shortened final lap for about 124 miles with a 36 hour time window.
The 250K is a lap format of eleven 14 mile laps plus a short final lap for about 155 miles with a strict lap cutoff structure. Cutoffs are wall clock times posted at the lap in table. Ruck division rules require minimum carried weight and verification at check in: • Men must carry at least 30 lbs. • Women must carry at least 20 lbs. The weight must be carried inside a backpack and worn on the back; spot checks will occur. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
