2026 Hell Hole Gator Run 5K & 10K
The Hell Hole Gator Run takes place in Jamestown, South Carolina. This athletic event is organized in conjunction with the Hell Hole Swamp Festival and marks the 50th year of the Gator Trot. The competition offers two primary race lengths:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
The 10K race follows an established route starting on French Santee Road. Participants turn right onto Simmons Road, then right onto Tiger Corner Road, before making a final right onto Highway 41 to reach the finish line located in front of Town Hall. The 5K race begins at the halfway point of the 10K course on Simmons Road. Runners on the 5K course follow the same path as the second half of the 10K, turning onto Tiger Corner Road and Highway 41. Shuttles are used to transport participants out to the 5K starting point.
The prize structure includes unique gator-head trophies for various categories. Large trophies are awarded to the overall male and female winners, as well as masters and grand masters divisions. Smaller trophies are provided for male and female age group winners, spanning from 10-19 through 75-99. Winners in the overall, masters, and grand masters categories are also invited to participate in a parade following the awards ceremony.
