Heeling House 5-k-nine
Heeling House 5-k-nine is a community running event held at Ida Lee Recreation Center in Leesburg, Virginia. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series and also toward the Summer Series. A virtual race option is available; virtual participants may purchase a shirt before Sept 2 and race materials are shipped the week after the event.

The course combines rolling hills with mixed surfaces: about 70% cross country and 30% paved. Water is provided along the route, with a station near mile 1.55, and Gatorade is available at some stations. The event is chip timed and finishers receive a medal; runners also receive a technical Drifit event shirt when available. Well-mannered dogs are welcome for both the run and the walk; dog participants receive a finisher medal. Dog runners use a staggered start and should check packet pickup for their exact start time.
Live results are posted online and via an on-site QR code, with final results and series points published the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and 1st and 2nd in age groups 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the venue, with shirt sizes not guaranteed for late registrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
