New Year's Day 5K is scheduled for January 1, 2026 in Reston, Virginia. The event takes place at Browns Chapel Park, 1525 Browns Chapel Road, Reston, VA 20194. The event offers the following distance options:

Details
Both the live 5K and the virtual 5K have an entry price of $45. The price increases after December 6, 2025 at 11:59pm EST. Pre-registered participants receive a commemorative New Year's Day 1/4 zip, a unique race bib, post-race snacks, free race day photos, and a digital finisher certificate. Race photos are free to download after the event; participants are asked to keep their bib visible for tagging.
The live race will be electronically timed by Commonwealth Race Management using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system. Results will be available immediately after the race and posted on the event results page. Packet pickup is available at =PR= Reston.
Awards for the live race will go to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female age group finishers in five-year increments from 14 and under through 80 and over.
