Heaven Can Wait 5K Fun Run
The Heaven Can Wait event is a 5 km fun run held in the historic Roman city of Colchester. This event takes place within the grounds of Colchester Cemetery, a 67 acre community space established in 1856. The course utilizes accessible pathways that wind through the cemetery’s landscaped parkland, which features mature trees and Victorian headstones.
Participants run through a setting that is home to over 65,000 resting places, including nearly 400 Commonwealth War Graves. The event is organized as part of Dying Matters Awareness Week to support local charitable initiatives centered on counseling and youth services.
