HeatWave Aquathlon : Littlehampton Wave, West Sussex
The HeatWave Aquathlon is a pool-and-run event held at The Littlehampton Wave (postcode BN16 2NA) on the West Sussex south coast. The swim takes place in an 8-lane 25 metre pool with experienced lane counters. The run is a loop around Mewsbrook Park that continues along the seafront promenade; the course is described as flat and is marshalled.
Two race distances are offered:
- HeatWave: 800 m pool swim and 10 km run, minimum age 17
- MicroWave: 400 m pool swim and 5 km run, minimum age 16
Entries are online only; there are no on-the-day entries, no transfers, and no refunds once the entry fee has been paid. The closing date for entries is Sunday 28th June 2026. Entry fees are the same for both races: £35 for British Triathlon Federation members and £43 for non-BTF members; non-members must purchase a British Triathlon Race Pass which provides relevant insurance. People who are not UK residents must provide their own insurance through their home federation or a personal provider.
Both events include individual prizes across age categories and a single team prize. Teams consist of four nominated members and must include at least one Female category and one Open category competitor; individual times are combined for a team result. All competitors receive a memento rather than a standard T-shirt or medal. Volunteering opportunities are available to support the event.
