HeatWave Aquathlon
The HeatWave Aquathlon is the summer counterpart to the Frosty Aquathlon, taking place on 4 July 2027 and organised by Tuff Fitty Triathlon Club. The event is based at The Wave in Littlehampton (BN16 2NA) and combines a pool swim with a flat, well-marshalled run through Mewsbrook Park and along the seafront promenade.
The swim takes place in the venue’s eight-lane, 25-metre pool with experienced lane counters to record lengths. Transitions are adjacent to the pool, and the run course is largely flat. Individual and team prizes are awarded across age categories.
Distances
- HeatWave: 800m pool swim and 10km run
- MicroWave: 400m pool swim and 5km run
Entry is by online registration only, with a closing date of Sunday 27 June 2027. There are minimum age requirements: 17 for the HeatWave and 16 for the MicroWave. Entry fees differ for British Triathlon members and non-members; non-members must purchase an £8 British Triathlon Race Pass as part of their entry. No entries are available on the day and no refunds are offered after payment.
The event includes individual and team prizes, with teams of four required to include both Female and Open category entrants. The races operate Female and Open competitive categories under British Triathlon policy. Participants may be invited to make a small donation to a local cancer charity.
