HeatWave Aquathlon 2026
The HeatWave Aquathlon takes place on 5 July 2026 at Littlehampton Wave, Sea Road, Littlehampton BN16 2NA on the West Sussex coast. The event is held at the same location as the Frosty Aquathlon and is organised by Tuff Fitty Triathlon Club.
The swim takes place in an eight-lane 25-metre pool with experienced lane counters. The run follows a loop around Mewsbrook Park and continues along the seafront promenade. The course is described as flat.
Two distances are offered:
- HeatWave: 800m pool swim and 10k run
- MicroWave: 400m pool swim and 5k run
Entries are online only; the closing date for entries is Sunday 28 June 2026. Entry fees are the same for both distances: £35.00 for British Triathlon Federation members (excludes ResultsBase fee) and £43.00 for non-BTF members, which includes an £8 BTF Race Pass. Non-UK residents must arrange their own insurance through their home federation or a personal provider.
Age minimums apply: MicroWave minimum age is 16 and HeatWave minimum age is 17. Individual prizes are awarded across multiple age and gender categories for both distances, and there is a first-place team prize. Teams comprise four nominated members with a mixed-gender requirement; the four individual results are combined for the team time. Competitors receive a memento.
