About the race
West Sussex Mind presents the Mental Elf Festive Fun Run, a fundraising event on Worthing seafront that supports local mental health services. The route follows the Worthing parkrun course between Splashpoint and Grand Avenue and back. The organiser offers two route distances:
- 5K
- 2K
The event is open to people of all ages and abilities, including runners, walkers, families with buggies, teams, wheelchair users and dogs. Ticket types include options with and without a fundraising pledge, a reduced-cost ticket linked to a £50 fundraising target, an under-16 ticket, and a family ticket that covers up to five people. A team discount of 20% applies for four or more tickets at checkout.
Each ticket includes event entry and a bespoke environmentally friendly medal. The event programme includes a free warm-up session, on-course support, music, food and children’s activities. Medical assistance will be available throughout the event. Tickets are non-refundable; entries may be transferred to another participant up to seven days before the event.
As the organiser’s primary fundraising event of the year, proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorship support local helplines, family and young people services, outreach work and other West Sussex Mind services. Sponsors for this edition include DMH Stallard and Aspire Residential. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
