Heartland Series Day 2
Day 2 of the Heartland Series is part of a multi-day event organized by Mainly Marathons. The series travels through several states, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. As part of this broader collection of races, participants have the opportunity to complete multiple events in consecutive days across different locations.
The event offers a variety of distance options to accommodate different goals:
- 50K
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
There are no time limits for any of the distances, making the event open to both runners and walkers. The course support remains in place until the final participant finishes, and the last finisher in each race is recognized with a "caboose" award. Specifically designed for those who enjoy long-distance or high-frequency running, the series features a unique course setup and a wide selection of food and drinks at the aid stations.
Participants may also choose a "Double Down" option, which allows for running a second race on the same day. This second race is restricted to a 5K or 10K distance and must be completed within the 50K time limit, with the longer distance being completed first.
