Heart of Wales Line (HOWL) Trail Run
The Heart of Wales Line (HOWL) Trail Run is a trail running event held on Saturday 29 May 2027 that follows sections of the Heart of Wales Line between Llandrindod Wells and Craven Arms. The route follows the long distance walking and running trail that weaves between railway stations along the Heart of Wales Line. The trail opened in spring 2019 and passes through Shropshire, Powys, Carmarthenshire, Brecon Beacons National Park, and the City and County of Swansea.
The route is way-marked using roundels, finger posts and signs that display the viaduct logo. For the inaugural hosting of this race event there are three distance options available. Distances are set out to reflect different lengths along the established trail.
