Heart of Wales Line Trail (HOWL)
The Heart of Wales Line (HOWL) is a fully supported trail running event taking place on Saturday 29 May 2027. The inaugural race follows the Heart of Wales Line Trail and runs between Llandrindod Wells and Craven Arms. The route weaves between railway stations and crosses parts of Shropshire, Powys, Carmarthenshire, Brecon Beacons National Park, and the City and County of Swansea.
The trail is way-marked with roundels, finger posts and signs that use a distinctive viaduct logo. For the first hosting there are three distance choices:
- 50 miles
- 26 miles
- 16 miles
