Event overview
The Resolution Run 5K takes place on 25 January 2026. The event is organised by Builth and District Running Club and is held at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells. The sponsor is to be confirmed. Total places are limited to 200.
Course and facilities
The 5k route is run mostly within the Royal Welsh Showground. The course has been amended from previous years to remove a small hill, providing a flatter surface with greater potential for personal bests. On-site facilities include hard-standing car parking, toilets and refreshments. Participants should follow signs and marshals' directions for parking.
Entry and eligibility
Advance entry fees are listed at £12.00 for UKA-affiliated runners and £14.00 for non-affiliated runners. On-the-day entries are accepted at a higher fee: £14.00 (affiliated) and £16.00 (non-affiliated). Discounted entry applies to members of WA SA EA. Minimum age is 11 years on the day of the race; entrants under 18 require parent or guardian consent. Advance entries close on 23 January 2026.
Results and prizes
Chip timing will be used. Prizes are awarded to the first three men and first three women overall, plus first man and woman in age categories (excluding the first three overall) for V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65 and V70+. Results will be published on the club website and social channels and loaded to Run Britain/Power of 10. Prize giving will take place after the last finisher.
