Hear Our Voices: Team Holly 5K Run & Walk
This event is the 12th annual 5K run and walk held to benefit Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks. It takes place at Gring's Mill Recreation Center, 2083 Tulpehocken Road, Reading, PA 19610, with the course run along the Union Canal Towpath Trail and returning to Gring's Mill.
Entry includes an early-registration period with a complimentary t-shirt for those who preregister by the stated deadline. Published entry fees are: adults, youth ages 9-17, and free entry for children 8 and under (no shirt for children 8 and under). Paper and online registration options are offered, and race-day payments may be accepted in cash, by check, or via Venmo.
On-course and event amenities include a goodie bag for participants ages 9 and over while supplies last, a survivor t-shirt for preregistered breast cancer survivors, refreshments, indoor toilet facilities, free parking, and a time clock at the finish. The event is held rain or shine; in wet weather activities may be moved into a large barn at Gring's Mill.
Awards recognize overall male and female finishers and multiple age-group categories, plus survivor awards. The event also includes family-friendly activities such as rock painting, face painting, games, raffles, and refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
