Healing in Motion LA: Glow & Grow 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
This community event on October 17, 2026 takes place at Cate Square Park in Hammond, Louisiana. It offers a timed 5K run and a relaxed 1 Mile fun run or walk, followed by an after-race glow celebration and an award ceremony. The event brings together local wellness and fitness vendors who will provide resources and information on site.
Registration pricing is presented in two periods: Early Bird registration is $20 from May 15 to August 15, and General registration is $35 from August 16 to October 1. Race day packet pick up and check-in occur at Cate Square Park; packets include a race bib, a custom Glow and Grow shirt, glow accessories, and local resources. Free finisher fuel is provided at the finish area.
Awards are planned for the 5K with top overall male and female in each age group, and for the 1 Mile with top overall male and female for 14 and under. Age groups include 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39 and categories up to 70+. Proceeds benefit Maison Un and Southeast Advocate for Family Empowerment SAFE.
