Healing In Motion LA: Glow & Grow 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
Healing In Motion LA: Glow & Grow is a community running and walking event held at Cate Square Park in Hammond, LA. The event offers two distances:
- 1 Mile Fun Run or Walk
- 5K Run or Walk
The event centers on a glow theme and includes an after-party with music and glow elements. Local wellness, fitness, and lifestyle vendors will be on site to share resources and information. All participants receive a custom Glow & Grow shirt; winners in various categories receive a custom Glow & Grow medal. Race packets provided on race day include a race bib, the event shirt, glow accessories, and local resources. Free finisher fuel will be available at the finish area.
Registration pricing is listed in two periods: an early bird fee of $20 from May 15 to August 15, and a general registration fee of $35 from August 16 to October 18. Age groups are organized across youth and adult ranges, extending through 70 and over. Award categories include top overall male and female finishers by age group for the 5K and top overall male and female for 14 and under in the 1 Mile.
Proceeds benefit Maison Un and Southeast Advocate for Family Empowerment SAFE, organizations that support those impacted by domestic violence. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
