Healing Heart Hustle 5K
The Healing Heart Hustle 5K is a community run/walk taking place in late August 2027 in Fort Wayne at PFW's Walb Student Union, with race, youth, and virtual entry options. The event is organized by Erin's House for Grieving Children.
There are three entry categories: Adult 5K Run/Walk, Youth 5K Run/Walk, and a Virtual 5K Run/Walk. Registration opens on April 26, 2027 and closes on August 28, 2027. Registration fees listed are $40.00 for the adult category and $25.00 for youth and virtual entries. Registered in-person participants receive an official race bib, a t-shirt if selected, post-race snacks, and access to activities before and after the run. Virtual registrations include a t-shirt if selected and a memorial activity mailed to the participant.
Packet pick-up is available at Erin's House for Grieving Children (5670 YMCA Park Dr W) and on the event day at PFW's Walb Student Union (2101 E Coliseum Blvd). Day-of registration is available; shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants. Wagons and strollers are allowed and pets are not permitted. A Kids Dash for ages 3 to 8 is offered; youth must be registered for the 5K to participate. Parking is available in the P2 Garage. Medals are awarded to the top two male and female finishers in each age group, plus Overall and Masters awards.
