Heady Trotter 4M - Stowe, Vermont
The Heady Trotter is a 4 mile road race that runs through the rolling foothills of Stowe and starts and finishes in front of The Alchemist brewery at 100 Cottage Club Road. The course is chip timed and certified.
Event day features include a music and beer festival, food trucks at the finish area, and a lawn game zone with Cornhole, giant Beer Pong, and Kan Jam. Registered participants receive Heady Topper beer (for those over 21), custom swag, and a koozie.
Packet pickup is available at The Alchemist brewery on the days before the race and there is race day bib pickup at the brewery. The brewery parking lot has about 100 spaces; overflow parking is provided at Stowe Medical Center and a designated race day lot at Topnotch Lower Meadow Field. Participants can use the Stowe Rec Trail to reach the start and finish but are asked not to walk on Mountain Road. Big yellow shuttle buses operate between the parking areas and the brewery on race day.
Team entries of 10 or more runners receive unique Heady Trotter swag. Solo entrants may earn team swag by donating $25 to the race beneficiary, Green Mountain Adaptive Sports. Awards are given in five year age increments beginning under ten up to 80 plus, with overall 1st through 3rd place awards for men and women.
Stoweflake Mountain Resort is a nearby lodging partner located along the course and there is a post-race meal option at Charlie B’s Pub & Restaurant. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
