HEADstrong Running aHEAD of Cancer 5K : Swarthmore, PA

HEADstrong Running aHEAD of Cancer is an annual community event in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. The event is in its seventh year and in 2024 had over 550 participants who ran, walked, or volunteered. The organizer offers a hybrid format so participants and supporters can take part in person or remotely.

Children and strollers are welcome for both the 5K run and the 1 mile walk. The course is fully paved. A registration tent is located behind the Inn at Swarthmore at 10 S Chester Road. Parking is available in the Swarthmore train station SEPTA lot off N Chester Road. Early bib pick-up is available on Friday, September 12 at 200 S Chester Road. T‑shirts are guaranteed only for those who register by Thursday, August 28.

Additional on-site rules note that no pets are allowed on the 5K course. The event supports the HEADstrong Foundation and activities connected to Nick’s House.
