Headscarf Hustle 5 km

The Headscarf Hustle is a community 5 km run or walk along the Humber in Hull taking place on 7 March 2027. The event starts and finishes at Sammy's Point next to The Deep (HU1 4DP) and has a capacity of 400 people. Entry prices are listed as to be confirmed, with a reduced rate for under 16s; under fives take part free when accompanied by an adult. A virtual entry option is available.

The event is organised by Fitmums and Friends with support from Curly's Athletes Foundation volunteers. Proceeds will support the charity and a campaign to raise a permanent statue in Hull for the Headscarf Revolutionaries. These local women campaigned for improved fishing safety in the 1960s after the loss of local fishermen.

Every participant receives an event number and a handmade headscarf. Volunteers prepare around 400 headscarves each year and a new design is created annually. The event is not officially timed, and buggies and wheelchairs are welcome.

Event day information notes that the Park and Ride option is not available. Nearby parking options include the Fruit Market multi-storey and a surface car park on High Street, both a short walk over the Millenium footbridge toward The Deep. There is no parking for participants in The Deep or Business Centre car parks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
