Head for the Cure 5K - Austin
The event is a 5K run/walk to raise funds and awareness for brain cancer causes. It takes place at The Domain – Amy Donovan Plaza in Austin, Texas. The event includes a Kids Fun Run 100 Meter Dash.
Funds raised support the Texas Oncology Austin Brain Tumor Center, Path to Hope, and other national brain cancer programs and initiatives.
Several recognitions are presented at the event. These include the Legacy of Love for caregivers, the Healthcare Hero award for medical professionals, the Keeping the Faith tribute for current fighters or survivors, and a Memorial recognition for those who have passed.
