Dartmoor In A Day 2026
Dartmoor In A Day is a fully supported point-to-point event across Dartmoor, offered in two distance options. The route crosses mainly wild, open moorland and is almost entirely off road. Entry fees include GPS tracker hire.

The full route starts at Okehampton, passes through Postbridge and finishes at Ivybridge Community College. The 30 km challenge begins at Postbridge and follows the remaining section of the 50 km route. Notable features on the route include the East Okement valley, Hangingstone Hill, the East Dart valley, Bellever Tor, West Dart stepping stones, Ryder’s Hill, a clapper bridge over the upper River Avon, the Dartmoor Volcano, and views along the Erme valley out to sea.
Maps can be downloaded for use with the Outdoor Active app and a GPX file will be available. Organizers recommend carrying paper maps as well; full information on mandatory and suggested kit will appear in participant handbooks. Qualified Mountain Leaders will act as mobile marshals, assist with navigation between checkpoints, and provide first aid cover in remote areas.
There are refreshment checkpoints at Postbridge and Combestone Tor, and food and drink at the finish. An optional coach shuttle from Ivybridge Community College to the start is available. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. Under 18s may take part when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
