Dartmoor In A Day 2026
Dartmoor In A Day is a fully supported off road event across Dartmoor offering two distance options. The route runs from Okehampton, passes through Postbridge and finishes at Ivybridge Community College. It crosses mainly wild areas of open moor and includes named features such as the East Okement valley, Hangingstone Hill, the East Dart valley, Bellever Tor, West Dart stepping stones, Ryder’s Hill, a clapper bridge over the upper Avon river, the Dartmoor Volcano and views along the Erme valley and out to sea.
Distances:
- 50 km (Ultra): route from Okehampton to Ivybridge, mainly off road.
- 30 km (Challenge): starts at Postbridge and follows the remainder of the 50 km route.
Entry information includes entry fees and dates, and the entry fee includes GPS tracker hire. Maps are available for the Outdoor Active app and a GPX file will be provided; organisers recommend also using OL 28 Dartmoor or BMC Dartmoor maps. Qualified Mountain Leaders will act as mobile marshals and provide navigation assistance and first aid cover on the course. Checkpoints with refreshment are located at Postbridge and Combestone Tor and food and drink will be available at the finish. An optional coach shuttle service runs from Ivybridge Community College to the starts. Participants under 18 are allowed when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
