2026 Hawk Trot
The Hawk Trot is a community 5K race held on the Melrose High School cross country home course on November 8, 2026. The course is hilly and follows the team's established terrain. The event distance is 5K (3.1 Miles).
Proceeds from the race benefit the Melrose cross country teams. Due to the hills and terrain, strollers are not recommended. The best parking is in the lot off Sylvan Street. An interactive course map is available.
Awards are presented with the following categories and restrictions. Runners may not receive more than one award.
- Overall awards: top three male, top three female, and top non binary.
- Age group awards: top male and top female in each age group of Under 20, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over.
Water and light snack refreshments are provided after the race. The listed registration fee for the 5K is $30.00 and registration dates are specified for the event schedule. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
