About the race
The Hauppauge Fire Department 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for September 5, 2026, at HFD Headquarters, 855 Wheeler Road, Hauppauge, NY 11788. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a free kids fun run. It is a fundraising event for the Hauppauge Fire Department.
Amenities listed for participants include a T-shirt for the first 200 registrants, post-race stretching provided by Professional Physical Therapy, live music by the Mixtape band, live/text/email results, free finish line photos, and same-day finish line video. Personalized race bibs are available for those who register at least three weeks before race day.
Awards are presented with medals to the top three male and female overall finishers, the top three male and female first responders (who are also eligible for overall and age-group awards), and the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
