Haunted Oak 5K - Homer Glen, IL
Haunted Oak 5K is a themed running event held on October 25, 2026 at Old Oak Country Club, 14200 S Parker Rd, Homer Glen, IL 60491. The main race covers 3.1 Miles and a separate Kids Fun Run is offered the same day. Registration fees listed for the events are $35.00 for the 5K and $10.00 for the Kids Fun Run. Registration for the main race opens March 1, 2026 and closes March 16, 2026; registration for the Kids Fun Run remains open through the day of the event.
The course is presented with a haunted and zombie theme and includes interactive elements where participants may encounter actors dressed as zombies. All participants receive a medal. The first 200 pre-registered participants receive a limited edition event gift. The main 5K is an officially timed race. Awards are planned for the top three overall male and female finishers and for several costume categories including Best Couple, Creepy Super Hero, Best Little Terror, and Drop Dead Beauty.
Post race offerings include a variety of beverages available at a cash bar. Proceeds from the event support three areas of Chicago Lithuanians Rotary Club giving: international Rotary Foundation programs including PolioPlus; local school and charitable organization projects; and health awareness and fitness promotion in partnership with the Chicago Lithuanians Running Club.
