Event overview
The Haunted Hustle is a Halloween-themed run scheduled for October 18, 2026 at Bronte Creek Provincial Park on the border of Burlington and Oakville. The event includes multiple course options:

- 10K run
- 1K Fun Run for children
Medals will be awarded to all 5K, 10K and 1K participants. Prizes are offered for top finishers by age bracket and gender in the 5K and 10K. Additional prizes will recognize the fastest 5K and 10K times achieved while wearing a full costume in the categories Adult Male, Adult Female, Boy and Girl under 18. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Dogs are welcome at the event. On-site attractions listed for race day include face painting, a bounce castle, pumpkin decorating, food (hot dogs), and other park activities.
Charity, location and logistics
The event aims to raise funds for Gore Park Community Outreach with a fundraising and net revenue goal of $40,000. Gore Park Community Outreach provides food to over 1,000 people each week, distributes meals from Hamilton City Hall on Saturdays, and supports people at McMaster University and in Burlington, Brantford and St. Catharines.
Bronte Creek Provincial Park amenities mentioned include a Play Barn for kids, livestock pens, nature trails, a leash-free dog park, frisbee golf and several playgrounds. To remain in the park on the day of the event, a vehicle day-use permit is required at $18 per car; there is no per-person charge and no charge for walking or cycling in.
