Event
The Boxing Day Runs take place on December 26, 2025 in Hamilton, Ontario. The 2025 event is the 102nd running. The start and finish are together at King William and Hughson Street North, near the downtown YMCA. The event offers the following distances:
- 10 Mile Run
- 4 Mile Run / Walk
Course and services
The course runs through downtown streets and along a paved waterfront trail, including about 5 miles on the waterfront trail. The race uses the Hamilton Downtown Family YMCA (79 James Street South) as an indoor race hub. The gymnasium hosts bib and race-wear pickup, post-race refreshments and awards, and provides change rooms with showers; spectators are welcome in the gym. Entrants receive a pair of mitts.
The event is organized by volunteers from the Hamilton Harriers Running and Walking Club. The run donates funds each year to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. Race timing is provided by a local timing company and race wear is supplied by a local apparel company. Online registration closes December 24; race day registration is available for a higher fee, payable by cash or cheque. Registration fees listed for both distances are $74.58.
