Boxing Day Run - Hamilton
The event marks the 103rd running of the Boxing Day Run in 2026. It is presented as one of Canada’s oldest road races and takes place in downtown Hamilton. The start and finish are together on Hughson Street near King Street, a few blocks from the downtown YMCA.
The course runs through downtown streets and along a paved waterfront trail, combining urban sections with waterside running. Two distance options are listed:
- 10-Mile Run
- 4-Mile Run / Walk
The race hub is located inside the YMCA Main Gymnasium. Facilities include bib and race-wear pickup, post-race refreshments and awards, change rooms with showers, and an indoor space for spectators and families.
The event includes a charitable element. The 2024 race donated $5,000 to the YMCA Saves Lives Campaign to support access for local children and youth to YMCA programs.
