2027 Chilly Half Marathon
The Chilly Half Marathon is an established road racing event held in Burlington, Ontario. The race features a flat and fast course that is officially certified by Athletics Canada. The route takes participants through Burlington's downtown area and along the city's waterfront. The event offers two primary ways to participate:
- Half Marathon (In-person)
- Virtual Half Marathon
The in-person race starts at Burlington City Hall on Brant Street. To assist runners in meeting their performance goals, pace bunnies are available for various time slots ranging from 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes. There is a strict course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes, with specific cut-off times at various checkpoints such as Lakeshore Road and Burloak Drive.
Comprehensive transportation and logistics are provided, including a shuttle bus service. Shuttles operate between partner hotels, the Burlington GO Station, Nicklebrook Brewery, and the race site. Additionally, a baggage check service is available at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre for a small donation.
Participants receive a technical running shirt and a 30th Anniversary Edition finisher medal. The event also serves as a fundraising platform for the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation and Hamilton Food Share. The virtual option allows runners to complete the distance from any location between February 26 and March 17, 2027, recording their results via the ASICS Runkeeper app. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
