About the race
The Chilly Half Marathon takes place in Burlington, Ontario, with the event centre at Burlington City Hall on Brant Street. The 2027 edition is the 31st running of the event and is scheduled for late February.
The course travels through downtown Burlington and along the waterfront. It is described as flat and fast and is officially certified by Athletics Canada with certificate number ON-2013-092-BDC. The advertised distance is 21.0975 km and the course will be open for 3 hours and 30 minutes; all runners must finish within that time.
The event offers both in-person and virtual options. The virtual race window runs from February 26, 2027 to March 17, 2027 and uses the ASICS Runkeeper app for tracking and result submission. Virtual participants receive a finisher shirt and medal and may have their race kit mailed for an additional fee. In-person registration includes a long sleeve technical race shirt and a commemorative medal.
Race kit pickup is scheduled at the Kingsway Running Room in Etobicoke on February 17 to 20 and at the Burlington Running Room on February 27. Baggage check is available inside the Burlington Performing Arts Centre for a small donation. Shuttle bus service and nearby public parking are provided; public parking is free on weekends. The event supports fundraising for the Joseph Brant Hospital Mental Health and Addictions program and for Hamilton Food Share, with CA$1,987.00 raised for these causes.
