Chilly Half Marathon – Burlington, Feb 28 2027
The Chilly Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, February 28, 2027, at Burlington City Hall on Brant Street in Burlington, Ontario. The event marks the 31st edition and follows a certified course of 21.0975 km (certificate ON-2013-092-BDC). The course runs through downtown Burlington and along the waterfront and is described by the organiser as fast and flat.
The event offers both a live race and a virtual option. The virtual race window runs from February 26 to March 17, 2027; virtual participants can record results via the ASICS Runkeeper app or submit results manually and receive a finisher certificate, shirt, and medal. In-person entries include a long sleeve technical shirt in the race kit and a new spinner medal for 2027.
Race kit pickup is required before race day with scheduled pickup dates at two running store locations: Kingsway Running Room in Etobicoke (Feb 17–20) and Burlington Running Room (Feb 27). There is an option to have kits mailed for an additional fee. Baggage check is inside the Burlington Arts Performing Centre with an Air Cadets collection requested as a $5 donation.
Support services listed include shuttle bus service from partner hotels and key pickup points, public parking recommendations, water stations at Guelph Line, Walkers Line, Appleby Line and Burloak Drive serving water only, and multiple porta-potty locations along the route. Pace groups are provided across a range of target finish times. The course will be open for 3 hours and 30 minutes and there are midcourse cutoff procedures for runners who fall behind the course markers.
The event also supports fundraising for local charities including the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation and Hamilton Food Share; non-perishable food donations are collected and tax receipts are available for eligible donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
