2027 Chilly Half Marathon
The Chilly Half Marathon takes place Sunday, February 28, 2027, in Burlington, Ontario, with the event linked to Burlington City Hall on Brant Street. The event offers both in-person and virtual entries; the virtual race may be completed between February 26 and March 17, 2027. Virtual participants receive a finisher shirt and medal, and race kits can be mailed or picked up at scheduled locations.
The course is Athletics Canada certified, certificate number ON-2013-092-BDC, and is described as fast and flat along Burlington's downtown and waterfront. The course is open for a total of 3 hours 30 minutes and all runners must finish within that limit. Pace groups are available across a range of finish targets from about 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes.
Race kits include a technical running shirt, timing bib, and goodie bag. Baggage check is located at the Burlington Arts Performing Centre and involves a donation with Air Cadets. Water stations serving water only are positioned at Guelph Line, Walkers Line, Appleby Line and Burloak Drive. Portable toilets are placed at several Lakeshore intersections and parks.
The event raises funds for local causes, including the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation and Hamilton Food Share, and will collect non-perishable food items. The race is organized and managed by VR PRO. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
