Haunted Halloween Hustle
The Haunted Halloween Hustle is a set of running and walking events held on October 31, 2026, based at Abshire Park Pavilion in Goshen, Indiana. Courses use the paved Pumpkinvine trail and are out and back, which removes route turns and simplifies navigation. The trail is largely lined by mature trees and is separated from vehicle traffic except at a few cross roads where police and volunteers will assist.
Available distances include:
- Monster Mile (walking only)
- Frightening 5K run or walk
- Terrible 10K run
- Haunted Half Marathon
All participants receive a finisher medal. The Mile is not timed but includes a finisher medal with a custom lanyard. The 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon have overall top three male and female awards and age group awards. Costume awards are presented in eight categories including cutest, best duo or group, most creative, best homemade, most spooky or creepy, funny or silly, storybook or fairy tale, and superhero or villain.
Packet pickup is offered at a local running store and at Abshire Park in the days before the event and on race morning. There is no participant parking at Abshire Park on race day; local volunteers will direct traffic to nearby locations. Refreshments at the finish include pretzels, hot beverages, soup, cookies, and fruit.
The event benefits people with Down syndrome and supports Community 321, which is creating a group home and a related small business selling healthy dog treats.
