Hatchet Mid-Summer Mile
The Hatchet Mid-Summer Mile is a track meet held July 11, 2026 at Hatchet Field, 1048 E. King Rd, Tomahawk, WI. The meet centers on the mile and uses a recently renovated track surface inside a completely updated stadium.
Events cover a range of distances and categories, from a 400 meter kids race to elite and championship one mile races, mixed 4x400 meter relays, and a vested mile that requires weight vests. Several events request a recent 1600 meter or mile seed time; entrants may enter NT if they do not have a seed time.
The event invites athletes across age groups and competitive levels, including K–12 runners, collegiates, masters, and open community entrants. Some age or category restrictions are specified for individual races, and awards are noted for selected divisions.
Proceeds from the meet support the Hatchet cross country and track programs. Funds are intended for team uniforms and warmups, upgraded training and racing equipment, and resources to improve home meets, including flags, course markings, and meet equipment.
Registration opens April 18, 2026. Additional event details, schedule information, awards, and vendor plans are to be provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
