Event Details
The 5K and 10K races start together. The courses diverge at a Y-intersection where 5K runners turn right and 10K runners continue left on King Road.
Pre-race bib and t-shirt pick-up begins at 7:00 AM under the gazebo in the park. T-shirts are guaranteed only for registrations before June 12, 2026. Race-day registration closes at 8:15 AM for the 5K and 10K, and at 9:15 AM for the 1-mile Fun Run, with no t-shirt guarantee.
The last few years have seen 600-700 participants. A "Most Patriotic" costume contest with prizes for the top three outfits is part of the event. The top 100 finishers in the 10K receive a finisher's medal in the chute. The top three finishers in each age group for the 5K and 1-mile Fun Run can collect their medals at an awards table under the gazebo after finishing. There is no formal awards ceremony. Refreshments for finishers are provided in the finishing corral.
In case of inclement weather, there is a tentative plan to run the race the following day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
