Race details
- 5K
- 10K
- 1-mile Fun Run
The 10K follows a route along the river to a turnaround atop Kings Hill, just past Kings Dam. The 5K is a looped, largely flat course that follows the 10K route for about 2400 meters, then cuts across the edge of Tomahawk High School property, returns to School Road, continues on Somo Ave and finishes at Memorial Park on 6th St. The mile run is a looped course for all ages; awards for the mile are limited to participants 12 and under. The 5K and 10K share the same start and split later at a Y-intersection where 5K runners turn right onto school grounds and 10K runners continue left on King Road.
Pre-registration ends at noon on July 3. T-shirts are only guaranteed for registrations before June 12, 2026. The top 100 10K finishers receive finishers medals in the chute; 5K and mile age-group top three medals are available at an awards table under the gazebo. There is a "Most Patriotic" costume contest with prizes for the top three outfits. In case of inclement weather, the tentative plan is to run the race the next day.
