Hat Trick Trot 5K
The Hat Trick Trot is a community 5K run/walk held in St. Joseph, Missouri, with start and finish at Bode Ice Arena, 2500 SW Parkway. The course follows the parkway and is presented as a family friendly run/walk.
Proceeds benefit the St. Joseph Youth Hockey Association (also called the St. Joseph Griffons). The organization has operated since 1976 and uses event funds for equipment, coaching and facility costs to help reduce the financial impact on participants.
Registration is handled online and onsite cash payments are not accepted. Registered participants receive a race bib, timing chip and a finisher medal. A T-shirt is included for those who register by August 14. Pre-registered packet pickup is scheduled at Bode Ice Arena on September 3; packet pickup is also available on race day.
Event rules and logistics noted by the organizer include that strollers are welcome but will start behind runners for safety, pets are permitted, and no motorized vehicles, roller blades or bikes are allowed on the course. Volunteers will provide protection at intersections. The event has a no-refund policy and will take place rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
