St. Joseph, Missouri Marathon
The St. Joseph, Missouri Marathon is scheduled for September 26, 2026, with the start and finish behind Civic Center Park in downtown Saint Joseph, Missouri. The event is presented by Gray Manufacturing and hosted by the St. Joseph Sports Commission in partnership with the Junior League of St. Joseph.
Distances offered:
- 26.2 miles full marathon
- 13.1 miles half marathon
- 6.2 miles 10K race
- 3.1 miles 5K race
- Five-person relay covering the full route
The full and half marathon courses are USATF certified for Boston qualification and route maps and certifications are provided. Routes travel north to south through the city, showcasing historic streets, parkways and local landmarks. Marathon split points are posted for several mile markers; split points are also provided for the half and 10K. Aid stations appear roughly every two to three miles and offer water, Gatorade, GU Energy gel, basic first aid items and portable toilets. Pacers will be provided in partnership with a local pacing organization.
Participants receive race mementos and race services including a branded participant shirt, towel, finisher’s medal, swag bag, race bib and timing chip. Packet pick-up and a vendor fair are held the day before at the convention and visitors bureau with additional morning pick-up near the start area. The event provides post race food and drink at a Chill Out in Civic Center Park. Proceeds support the sports commission and Junior League community programs.
