St. Joseph, Missouri Marathon
The Fourth Annual St. Joseph, Missouri Marathon takes place September 26, 2026 at Civic Center Park in downtown Saint Joseph. The event offers multiple race options and a relay that uses the full route and five course legs. The full marathon and half marathon courses are USATF certified and usable for Boston Marathon qualification.

Course description highlights five legs that move runners through St. Joseph landmarks and the city parkway system. Terrain varies and includes uphill sections and scenic stretches; organizers note the route is not consistently flat. Aid stations occur every two to three miles and provide water, Gatorade, GU Energy gel, basic first aid items and portable toilets. A medical tent is located near the finish area.
Participants receive a branded shirt, towel, finisher’s medal, swag bag, race bib and timing chip. A Post Race Chill Out in Civic Center Park includes complimentary beer and a post race tenderloin plus additional food, live music and vendor booths. Age requirements: 16 for full marathon and relay, 14 for half marathon, no minimum for 10K and 5K. The marathon has a six hour finish limit.
