HAT Run 50K

The HAT Run 50K is an ultra-marathon event held at Susquehanna State Park in Havre de Grace, Maryland. The event utilizes the Steppingstone Farm Museum as the race headquarters and serves as the location for both the start and finish lines. The race follows a 50 km course consisting of two identical loops that cover almost the entire area of the park.

Participants navigate a variety of terrain including single-track trails, open fields, and dirt roads, with minimal sections on paved surfaces. The course features approximately 4,300 feet of total elevation gain. Runners should anticipate four stream crossings along the route, which will result in wet feet. Aid stations are positioned along the course to provide hydration and energy supplies to participants.

The event has a participation limit of 350 runners. The course traverses the historic grounds of the park and includes views of the local landscape. Registration typically opens in late November on a first-come, first-served basis until the cap is reached or the deadline in mid-March passes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
