Event overview
The Hastings Half Marathon takes place on 22 March 2026 in Hastings and St. Leonards-on-sea, East Sussex. The main event is a road half marathon on a hilly course through the historic town, with a downhill second half that finishes by the seaside. The course is accurately measured and route maps, including GPX files, are available. Roads will be closed until 13:00 on race day. The event is organised by Hastings Lions & Rotary Club and raises money for local good causes.

The half marathon is open to entrants aged 17 and over on the event date. The Claremont Mini Run is for participants aged 7 to 16; it is point-to-point with a different finish from the start, only junior participants receive medals, and parents are responsible for supervising their children. The race start is on the upper promenade level near breakwater 29, approximately 200 m west of Hastings Pier, and the finish is on Sea Road / Grosvenor Gardens.
Standard entry pricing for the half marathon is shown as £37–£39, with an on-the-day entry fee noted at £45. The mini run entry is shown as £7. Prize money is awarded to top finishers and there is an additional prize for breaking the course record.
