Hastings Half Marathon
The Hastings Half Marathon is a road race held in Hastings and St Leonards on Sea on 22 March 2026. The event is organised by the Hastings Lions Club and is assisted by Hastings Athletic Club and Hastings Runners. It raises money for local good causes.
The course is a measured 21.1 km route on public roads and is described as hilly, with a finish along the seafront on Sea Road. The race start is on the upper promenade level near breakwater 29, approximately 200 m west of Hastings Pier. Roads on the route are closed until 13:00 on race day.
A junior Claremont Mini Run takes place on the same day for entrants aged 7 to 16. The Mini Run is a point to point race with a different finish location from the start; only junior participants receive medals and parents are responsible for their children’s supervision.
Prizes are awarded to top finishers, with monetary prizes listed for first to fifth places and an additional prize for breaking the course record. The event includes a race programme, bespoke finishers brass, an accurately measured course, a virtual goody bag, and finish line goodies.
