Bewl 15 & 5 Mile
Organised by Wadhurst Runners, the Bewl 15 & 5 Mile races take place on 4 July 2027 at Blacksmiths Lane, Wadhurst, East Sussex, around Bewl Water. The event offers two distances on mixed surfaces including trails, footpaths and quiet country lanes.

The 15 mile route begins in Wadhurst and descends to join the round Bewl route. It includes gently undulating sections along the shore and a shorter, hilly stretch on quiet lanes. There is a four hour time limit for the 15 mile race. The 5 mile race is entirely off-road, following the 15 mile course for about 2.5 miles before returning along the same route.
Course marshals and water stations are provided. After the race finish there is cake and complimentary beer, accompanied by a local brass band. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a commemorative t-shirt. Prizes include trophies, spot prizes and cash awards for the first three male and female finishers in the 15 mile race, with the first place prize rising if the course record is broken. Six spot prizes of £25 vouchers are available and parking is provided subject to weather. The event supports the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex.
