Distances and course

  • 15 Mile
  • 5 Mile

The 15 mile route is the full round Bewl Water trail, beginning in Wadhurst and descending to join the Bewl circuit. It includes sections through a nature reserve with lakeside views, gently undulating shore paths and a shorter, hilly section on quiet lanes. There is a 4 hour time limit for the 15 mile route. The 5 mile route follows the first 2.5 miles of the 15 mile course before returning along the same route and is entirely off road.

Entries, inclusion and prizes

Advance entry prices are listed at approximately £36–£38 for the 15 mile and £20–£22 for the 5 mile; on-the-day fees are listed separately at higher rates. Age limits are 18+ for the 15 mile and 15+ for the 5 mile. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a commemorative Bewl t-shirt; trophies are awarded to leading runners and free parking is offered when weather permits. The 15 mile race has cash prizes for the top three men and women, with a first prize of £100 that increases if the course record is broken.

Charity support

The event raises funds for the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSSAA). The charity is described as responding to over 3,100 incidents annually and the race raised £6,200 for KSSAA in 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
