Event overview

Harwich Triathlon takes place over the weekend of 13 and 14 June 2026 in Harwich, Essex. The weekend includes an Olympic distance race, a sprint race, junior races and an Olympic relay. Race HQ and the Olympic transition area are at the Oval Shelter near the boating lake on Harwich promenade. Sprint and junior races are based at Dovercourt Bay Lifestyles Pool, Low Road, CO12 3TA. The event uses chip timing and provides a finisher medal and a finisher t-shirt. If the sea swim for the Olympic event is deemed unsafe because of weather, the event will be held as a duathlon with no refunds for swim cancellation.

    • Under 9s: 50 m pool swim, 1 km bike (on grass), 600 m run (on grass).
    • Ages 9-12: 150 m pool swim, 2 km bike (on grass), 1.2 km run (on grass).
    • Ages 13-15: 150 m pool swim, 3 km bike (on grass), 2.4 km run (on grass).
