Harvest Hammer Run and Duathlon 2026
The Harvest Hammer is a multi-event race day held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Morrison, Illinois at Morrison High School. The program includes a duathlon, a 5K run/walk, several youth distance races, and a color run held as part of the event.
Event distances and formats include:
- Duathlon: 5K run and 21 mile bike, ages 14 and over
- 5K Run/Walk: open to all ages
- 1/3 mile Wee Run: Pre-K to 2nd grade
- 1/2 mile Fun Run: grades 3 to 5
- 1 mile Challenge Run: grades 5 to 8
- Color Run: open to all ages, free to Hammer participants
Registration fees vary by event and early registration rates apply through September 17. Chip timing is used and shirts are provided to the first 400 registered participants. Color Run participants receive a long sleeve event shirt and sunglasses; the Color Run is free for those entered in other Harvest Hammer events.
Awards are given overall and by age division, with divisions ranging from 13 and under up through 80 plus. Duathlon awards include individual and team categories; duathletes are not eligible for 5K awards. Cyclists must wear an ANSI approved helmet.
The bike course starts and finishes at Morrison High School, follows Prairie Center Road to Hillside Road, Bunker Hill Road, and Lister Road, and consists of two laps. The event is held rain or shine and has no refunds. Proceeds benefit Morrison Rotary local youth, education, community, and international projects.
