Harvest Half Marathon and 10K
The Harvest Half Marathon and 10K is a community road race held in Sioux Center, Iowa, in early October. The event offers measured distances and route information for both races, with results posted after the races.
The event features two official distances:
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- 10K: 6.2 miles
Organizers chose the timing to take advantage of typical fall weather and local scenery. The race was created because there are few half marathons near Sioux Center, and its timing sits between larger regional marathons to fit some runners' training schedules.
Race logistics noted on event materials include packet pick-up and published course routes for each distance. The event relies on volunteers to support race operations. Local businesses and organizations listed as sponsors include M Design & Promotions, Northwest Bank, Hy-Vee, Sioux County Dairy Association, Mouw Motor, and Subway.
