HaRUNbee 5K Walk/Run

The HaRUNbee 5K Walk/Run for Healthy Birth Outcomes is a community event focused on health and wellness. Organized by the National Coalition for Healthy Black Families (NCHBF), the event aims to raise awareness and prevent unhealthy birth outcomes. Located in the downtown Milwaukee area, the race brings together people of all ages from the Harambee community and surrounding neighborhoods to promote physical and mental fitness.

Participants have the option to complete the course as either a runner or a walker. The event is inclusive of families, and the use of strollers for babies is encouraged. The course starts and finishes at Pete's Fruit Market on North Doctor Martin Luther King Junior Drive.

The event features the following distance:

  • 5 km (3.1 miles)

Registration is open for different age groups, including categories for adults, seniors aged 55 and over, and youth aged 17 or under. Team registration is available for groups consisting of 10 or more members. For youth participants, registration can be completed with or without the inclusion of an event t-shirt. On-site race day registration and packet pick-up are provided at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
