Event Overview
The Eversource Hartford Marathon takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The event offers several race distances including a marathon, half marathon, Team 26.2 Relay, Charity 5K, and an HMF FitKids Run.
Course Details
All races start on Capitol Avenue near the Connecticut State Capitol building. The marathon and half marathon courses begin in front of the Capitol, travel through neighborhoods in West Hartford, and pass through Elizabeth Park. The marathon route also goes over the Founders Bridge into East Hartford and through rural town roads in South Windsor. Both races finish past the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park. The Charity 5K runs through downtown Hartford.
Event Features
Several on-course amenities and post-race activities are provided. There are pace teams for the marathon and half marathon. The post-race party in Bushnell Park includes an athlete food tent and a beer garden. Free showers are available at the Downtown Hartford YMCA. A reunion area is designated for friends and family. Registered participants receive a race shirt and finisher medal.
Additional Information
There is no race day registration or bib pickup. Packet pickup is available on Thursday and Friday before the race. A free membership program, HMF Milestone, offers perks like member-only waitlists and personalized bibs.
