Harry Chapin Memorial Run/Walk Against Hunger
The event takes place on October 18, 2026 in Croton-on-Hudson with an in person gathering at Croton Harmon High School, 36 Old Post Road South. The event also offers virtual options that allow participants to complete the chosen distance on selected dates in October prior to the in person event.
Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes September 30, 2026. Entry fees vary by distance and format, ranging from $12 to $34. A limited edition commemorative t-shirt is provided to the first 300 registrants in the 5K and 10K fields for both in person and virtual entries; shirt sizes are not guaranteed and depend on availability at pickup. The 1 Mile Fun Run includes a custom limited edition medal for child participants.
For in person participants, organizers meet at Croton Harmon High School and then proceed on foot to the start area, which is about a five minute walk from the school. The 10K in person course will use an alternate route this year because of the closure of Quaker Bridge; a course map is available. Participants are asked to follow event directions and wave assignments when lining up at the start area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
