About the race
The Rockland Road Runners present the 5 Mile Turkey Trot for The Marisa Fund, scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, at Rockland Lake State Park in Congers, NY. The event is the 35th annual edition and supports the Marisa Fund's efforts to eradicate childhood cancer. The course uses the park start and finish area at the north parking lot #1.
Registration opens June 30, 2026. Fee options listed by the organizer include an early bird rate of $35 before September 1 and a general registration fee of $40; a senior rate for ages 65 and over is listed as $20. Rockland Road Runners members receive a $15 discount applied at checkout. Packet pickup and in-person registration are scheduled at Bridges, 2nd Floor in Palisades Center, West Nyack, NY, on November 23, 24 and 25; shirts at Bridges are distributed on a first come first serve basis. The organizer notes that there will be no race day registration and that registrants who register by November 15 are more likely to receive the commemorative shirt in time for the run.
