Event Overview
The Harrogate District Summer Race League consists of five events held at various locations. Participating runners pay a single entry fee that covers the entire series of five races. All events in the league are licensed and follow a multi-terrain course profile. Each race typically consists of a single lap covering a distance of approximately 5 to 6 miles.
Participation Requirements
Registration is restricted to first or second claim members of participating clubs within the league. Unaffiliated runners or guest runners are not permitted to participate. Registration must be completed in advance as there is no provision for entry at the race locations. Entrants who register more than seven days before the first event receive a personalized bib number featuring their first name.
Logistics and Equipment
Participants receive one bib number equipped with a timing chip, which must be retained and used for the duration of the five-race series. If a number is lost or forgotten, a replacement fee is charged. These bibs are distributed to club representatives at the first race of the series. The event has an entry limit of 800 participants.
Facilities and Accessibility
The event venues do not provide changing facilities, showers, baggage storage, or water stations. On-site toilets are available. The courses are not suitable for wheelchairs. Participants under the age of 18 must provide contact details for a responsible adult who will be present at the races.
