Harrison Community 5K
The Harrison Community 5K is a community running event held at Veterans Plaza on Harrison Avenue in Harrison, New Jersey. The course runs through the Town of Harrison and West Hudson Park and includes a mix of flat sections and moderate inclines. Professional chip timing is provided by Elitefeats and all running participants receive an official finisher medal.
Amenities include live text and email results, free finish line photos, a race T-shirt for registered participants, personalized bibs for those registered three weeks in advance, DJ music, a post-race yoga session, and a massage and recovery station. Water stations are located at the start/finish area and at a mid-course point. Official race photos and a community gathering are part of the post-race setup.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group including 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Bib pickup is offered early at CKO Kickboxing on Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard and on race day through event staff; last-minute registrants may receive bib numbers by text.
Free public parking is available near the event area and additional street parking may be nearby. Public transportation access includes the PATH Train to Harrison Station, within walking distance of the start and finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
