Harrison Community 5K
The Harrison Community 5K is a community running event organized by the Purpose Runners Foundation, a nonprofit that supports youth and community programs, charity partnerships, and local outreach initiatives. The course runs through the Town of Harrison and West Hudson Park and features a combination of flat sections and moderate inclines. The start and finish area is at Veterans Plaza on Harrison Ave in Harrison, NJ.
Timing and on-course support are provided with professional chip timing, water stations at the start and finish and a mid-course station, and official race photos. All running participants receive an official finisher medal; the event also includes a race T shirt and free finish line photos. Live results are available by online, text, and email formats, and there is a recovery zone with massage services and a post race yoga session.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers with trophies, plus age group awards for the top three male and female finishers in standard age brackets. Bib pickup includes an early packet pickup at CKO Kickboxing and day of pickup with a bib number required. Free public parking is available nearby and the start area is within walking distance of the Harrison PATH station. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
