YMCA Harrisburg Mile, July 15, 2026, Downtown Harrisburg, PA
The YMCA Harrisburg Mile is an annual running and walking event held in Downtown Harrisburg. The 2026 edition marks the event's 45th year and coincides with the YMCA's 175th anniversary. The program includes multiple heats and special events for different participant groups.
Timed and untimed options are available. The Fun 1-Mile Walk/Run heat is not competitive or timed and offers a choice of a full one-mile course or a half-mile course. The Mile Run age-group heats are timed and organized by age. The Elite Mile is the most competitive heat and lists qualifying times by sex and age group (examples: men 4:40, women 5:30 for ages 39 and under; men 5:00, women 6:00 for ages 40 and over). The iHeart Radio Corporate Challenge runs as a team event with corporate divisions. Salute and Survive offers a quarter-mile walk for veterans and cancer survivors at no cost; friends and family may register on a paid link. The Virtual Mile allows participants to run a course of their choice and receives mailed race packets.
Registration opens January 15, 2026; registration deadlines and fees vary by heat. Listed fees range from no cost for the veterans and survivors entry to $120 for the corporate challenge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
