About the race
Harns Marsh 5K & 12K is a trail running event in Harns Marsh, Lehigh Acres, Florida. It offers two measured distances and emphasizes natural scenery and wildlife along the trails.
Distances
- 5K
- 12K (single-lap course extending into the West Marsh)
The 12K is a single-lap route that is not a two-lap version of the 5K course. Course maps will be posted soon.
The event takes place in conjunction with the LAMSID Wings Over Water Festival, which includes a Touch-a-Truck event, fishing derby, vendors, and other activities. The race supports Unite Lehigh and its efforts to bring community events and economic opportunities to Lehigh Acres.
All participants receive a commemorative finisher medal and a race T-shirt. The race is chip-timed. Overall awards will be presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female based on gun time. Age group awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female are based on net chip time. Age groups are 0–10, 11–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+.
Packet pickup is available Friday, January 22, 2027 at Fleet Feet Bell Tower in Fort Myers, and Saturday, January 23, 2027 at Harns Marsh in Lehigh Acres. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
